OpenJob Privacy Policy & Terms of Service
Effective date: June 10, 2026
Overview
OpenJob helps users review job opportunities, track company visits, record applications, and store vote feedback about job listings.
This policy explains what information OpenJob stores, how it is used, and how to contact the operator about privacy questions.
Information We Collect
OpenJob stores the preferences you save in this browser, including your selected connector, target job title, and career industry.
When you use the app, OpenJob may store operational records such as viewed companies, submitted applications, vote signals, and optional down-vote reasons.
The current OpenJob frontend does not require account registration and does not expose a first-party Google sign-in flow in this repository.
How We Use Information
We use stored information to operate the product, personalize discovery settings, keep job-tracking state, and improve search and research workflows.
Saved preferences are stored locally in your browser. Activity records submitted through the app are processed by the OpenJob backend.
Third-Party Services
OpenJob may call third-party AI or search providers selected by the operator to run research probes and enrich job discovery results.
If a provider requires its own authentication or policy disclosures, that provider remains responsible for its separate service terms and privacy practices.
Cookies and Local Storage
OpenJob uses browser local storage to remember saved settings on the device and browser where you entered them.
You can clear that browser-local data at any time through your browser settings.
Data Retention
Browser-local settings remain until you clear them. Backend activity records may be retained for product operations, analytics, debugging, and service integrity for as long as reasonably needed.
Security
OpenJob uses reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect stored information, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed fully secure.
Your Choices
You may stop using the app at any time, clear local browser data, and avoid submitting optional free-text content such as custom vote reasons.
Contact
For privacy questions or data requests related to OpenJob, contact the app operator at hello@archlife.org.
Policy Updates
OpenJob may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page.
